We are delighted to announce that we have won the Thames Valley Business and Community ‘Business of the Year award 2020’!
The awards are open to any business within the Thames Valley, and recognise businesses, charities, and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution in the region.
We want to be at the head of a new generation of businesses that are striving to redefine the way that business is done. We are proud to be one of the first accredited B-Corporations in the UK, and we have declared the company as carbon neutral, as well as being a living wage employer. We are extremely proud that this has been recognised by our wider community and that has been celebrated as well.
The testimonial from the judges was: “Very successful business model. Great that they aspire to be “best in the world” and are prepared to be measured regularly. First UK wholesaler to declare carbon neutrality is an outstanding achievement. Great growth and financial profile – obviously a great place to work, and generous to charities.”
Paul and Amanda had the honour of being presented the award at the ceremony and had a great night celebrating fellow businesses and entrepreneurs from the region. They had a long wait as this was the last award of the night, but it was worth the wait to win the big accolade. The whole team celebrated with the award on Friday morning when it was brought into the office.
Here’s to the next one!

Often we can achieve more with periods of reflection and inactivity which then means our activity is more purposeful when we get on with it. A theme for Paul this year has been “Doing less and achieving more” and he reminds us that, it’s not selfish to care about yourself.

Paul Hargreaves suggests we aspire to be a ‘mood-lifter’ this week. Be one of those who puts a smile on other’s faces, the way we arrive there is through being thankful.
